TWO competitions were contested over a sunny but blustery Brynhill last Sunday.
The Queens Coronation Cup, for lower handicappers and the Victory Trophy for the hackers and choppers.
Cael Penberthy romped the QCC with a 5 under 67, 2 ahead of the uncivil civil engineer Bob Bounds.
Both these guys can look forward to playing off a lower handicap next week, once Butcher Giles administers a well merited slashing.
Meanwhile James Underdown pipped Martin Peplow by 2, winning the VT with a solid 69, looks like James could be playing in the QCC next year.
This coming Sunday sees the qualifier for the prestigious Bristol Cup pairs competition, an event where a missed putt can destroy a lifelong friendship and a good round can inspire a civil partnership proposal.
