BARRY U-14s travelled to Tonyrefail on Sunday to play Porth in the semi-final of the league cup.

Barry had lost the three previous meetings to Porth. With key players unable to make it this left Barry with the bare 11 players.

After swapping pitches twice due to some double bookings they eventually kicked off in Trebanog.

Barry started well and scored first with a goal from Ellie Davies, Porth then scored two quick goals and Barry had to dig deep to level for half-time at 2-2, with a goal from Brooklyn Miller.

Barry then lost a key player with an injury in Sasha Hayes just before the interval.

With a changing of positions for the second half Barry really battled, every player playing their part. A through ball from Charley Angove and a lay off from Brooklyn Miller then found another goal from Ellie Davies for Barry Town Utd Ladies to go 3-2 up.

Credit to Porth who came straight back and levelled soon after to make it 3-3.

With just 10 minutes to go and extra-time looming, then another pass down the centre, this time finding Saskia Zulkarnaein who calmly slotted in the bottom right corner for a 4-3 lead.

With more defenders on for the last minutes, Barry held on for a brilliant and well-deserved win 4-3 win against table toppers AFC Porth.

Barry Town Utd Ladies now face Llantwit Fadre in the U14 Cup final, joining our U12s, U16s and Ladies into their respective finals with the U13s and U15s still in their competition.

Team: Sophie Fraser-Lewis, Sasha Hayes, Jordan Mccarthy, Bethan White, Hannah Weston, Charley Jaye Higgins, Charley Angove, Saskia Zulkarnaein, Ellie Davies, Gina Robinson, Brooklyn Miller.
