ST ATHAN'S 5-1 demolition of Barry Athletic sent them top of the Vale of Glamorgan Premier Division this weekend.

An Aaron Rogers brace helped them on their way to their rout of Athletic, who drop down to second following their defeat in the top of the table clash. In the weekend's other top flight fixture, Cowbridge Town continued their recent resurgence as they won 3-0 away to Rhoose. Having been rooted to the bottom for much of the season so far, Cowbridge now move up to fourth.

In Division One, SP Billy got back to winning ways with a 4-2 triumph over Tynewydd, with Lee Carter's hat-trick helping SP come back from two goals down. Cadoxton Imps edged out Cadoxton Athletic 5-4 in a thrilling derby win.

Llantwit Major are the new leaders in Division Two, Josh Morgan grabbing a brace as his side made it nine wins from nine in their 4-0 win over Rhoose B. Barry Albion narrowly lost out to Vale Madrid 3-2, while Island Marine B edged out St Athan B by the same score. BRT Dynamos 4-0 thumping of bottom side Glenbrook sees them go fourth.

Next week, weather permitting, the big games keep on coming as FC Barry Belgrade host new leaders St Athan. Belgrade are two points off top but have three games in hand on the leaders.
