PREMIER Division leaders Barry Athletic needed a last gasp equaliser from Connor Caton to salvage a point against bottom side Cowbridge Town in a 1-1 draw.

Athletic remain top of the league, but saw their lead cut to two points as St Athan trounced Penarth Town 5-1 with Craig Howells bagging a treble. St Athan have a game in hand which could see them overtake the league leaders, while FC Barry Belgrade moved third with a further game to play after edging out Island Marine 3-2.

In Division One, Sully Sports continued their dominant streak as they picked up a 2-0 derby victory over Cogan Coronation. The win leaves Sully undefeated and seven points clear of SP Billy. SP kept in touch with the leaders after coming from behind to beat Penarth Town B 5-2, while Cwm Talwg picked up their first win since August as they downed Cadoxton Imps 5-2. Cardiff Airport and Tynewydd played out a goalless draw.

In Division Two, bottom side Glenbrook picked up their first points of the season and their first league win for a year in style, demolishing St Athan B 8-1. League leaders Cadoxton Barry hammered BV 10-3 with Kai Ingram notching five goals as they moved five points clear of Vale Madrid, following their 3-3 draw with BRT Dynamos. Max Morgan grabbed a hat trick as Llantwit Major continued their 100 per cent record with a mammoth 8-2 win over Barry Albion. Major sit third and seven points off top with three games in hand. Island Marine B and Rhoose B played out a 1-1 draw in the weekend's other encounter.

Next week sees Island Marine represent the league in the SWFA Senior Cup, while league action includes an intriguing tie between SP Billy and Cogan.
