AS STORM Brian lashed the Vale, members of the Vale football league were not deterred with only one game postponed.
The big top of the table clash finished all square as Barry Athletic and St Athan played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in a true game of two halves. Island Marine went third in the league as they dispatched Penarth Town 3-1 and Cowbridge Town suffered their fourth defeat of the season as Rhoose picked up their first league win since the opening day, running out 2-1 victors.
In Division One, leaders Sully Sports continued their surge at the top with a 5-3 win over Cardiff Airport. SP Billy moved second as they defeated bottom side Cadoxton Imps 5-3, while Tynewydd dropped to fourth as Barry Saints stunned them 4-2 to pick up their second win of the season. Cadoxton Athletic flew up the table to third as they romped to a 7-3 away win against Penarth Town B. Cogan Coronation made it two league wins on the bounce, as they hit four past Cwm Talwg without reply.
In Division Two, Vale Madrid remained top with a 2-0 win over Barry Albion, but Cadoxton Barry kept pace with the early leaders following a 3-0 triumph over Island Marine B. BRT Dynamos went third after a thriller against St Athan B, Dynamos coming out 6-4 winners.
There is another full league programme next week, including a clash between Division Two high-fliers Cadoxton Barry and BRT Dynamos.
