TWO pupils from Ysgol Bro Morgannwg have received their first call ups to the Wales under 13 girls' football squad.
Year 8 students Manon Pearce and Gwenno Goode are in line to represent the national side, the latest evidence of the increasing success that girls' football has had at the school in recent years under the tutelage of PE teacher Miss Bethan Price.
Miss Price said: "I'm really proud of Gwenno and Manon's success because both girls give their best at all times.
"They will be an asset to the Welsh team and I wish them the best of luck".
The girls have already attended weekly regional training sessions, which are a platform onto the Girls’ National Squad player development pathway.
