NEWLY formed Barry side AFC Wolves started the season in tantalising form, as they reaped the rewards from their hard work in a solid pre-season.
Sully Vipers were the first up at Seven Avenue, and after the home side opening the scoring early, the game as a contest was over very quickly. The attacking style that has become a common feature with this Wolves side was there in abundance, as they recorded a 12-2 win.
Goalscorers on the day were: Kyle Booker (8), Callum Hewitson (2), Cole Saunders and Conor O'Brien.
Next up was a trip to Corntown to face Cowbridge Reds. Wolves came out of the blocks at 100 miles an hour, playing a new formation for the day that suited the visitors style well, allowing players time on the ball. The final score was a resounding 12-1 win.
Goalscorers on the day were: Kyle Booker (3), Callum Hewitson (3), Rian Thomas (2), Zak Fifield and Jacob Pereira.
