THE Glenbrook Wanderers visited O'Brien's for their first away fixture of the season, in a match played in good spirit with man of the match Div Jones winning all four of his games.

Mags Bartle was also unlucky not to have a 100 per cent record, going in off the black in her first game. Nick Taylor impressed winning three out of four, and the Wanderers travelled home with a 10-2 win.

For the third week running the Libs were involved in a 7-5 match, losing narrowly to the Castle Dark Side.

The star player for the Libs Rejects was James Bestow who won all four of his matches, with Brian Harris and Ralph Miners playing well for the Dark Lords, but their stand out player was again Gavin Rowlands who continues to play a positive potting game.

Millwood Potjacks entertained The Ship Hotel who quickly sailed into a 3-1 lead. The first pairs were shared one each and things appeared to be on an even keel, but The Ship soon drifted out of sight winning the next round of singles 3-1 to lead the match 7-3. The final pairs were again shared, giving The Ship a deserved 8-4 win. Special mention goes to Graham Avient who in frame nine broke and dished.

The Witchill Whackers, captained by county captain James Hill, beat their pub rivals Witchill Wrong'uns 8-4 with county players Jamie Stanton, Steve Watkins and Ceri Morris shining for the Whackers. The stand out players for the Wrong'uns were Paul 'Joe 90' Everest and Lawrence Klee. The Whackers lead the table and are now favourites to win the league.

Finnegans hosted Billy United over on the Island, with The Billy starting brightly and surging into a 3-0 lead which quickly became a 6-1 advantage.

But Kane Grindley, Ian Doel and Harry Asprou would win the next three singles matches, with Spencer Beard and Grindley winning the first pairs to make the score 6-5.

Ultimately The Billy held on, as Les Ashton and Gary Roberts won the next frame to give the Billy a 7-5 win.

In Cadoxton, The King William IV outplayed The Boro winning 9-3 with Neil Tipples again man of the match. Geoff Froud picked up three wins out of four, while Sara Hayles was the standout player for Boro. The Barry Islanders county side have their last home league game of the season against youthful Carmarthen team The Dragons Kiss, with promotion almost assured with a home win.

Captain James Hill can then look forward to planning their county cup tie away to against Pembrokeshire Black Widows in Haverfordwest, knowing a win will take the side through to finals day.
