BARRY based side AFC Wolves under-15 side finished runners up in this year's Welsh Super Cup, losing in the final to Cambrian and Clydach Academy after leading for much of the game.

The newly formed side, who compete in the Vale of Glamorgan youth football leagues, entered the four day event which took place in Cardiff earlier this month.

The competition comprised of sides from across Wales and the rest of the UK, with Wolves leaving an excellent impression with their attacking football and beating sides from all over the country.

Having led for two-thirds of the final Cambrian and Clydach eventually came back to seal the win, but for Wolves to reach that stage was in itself an immense achievement, given their depleted numbers due to the school holidays.

The club would also like to give special thanks to all the parents and guardians who took time off to support the team.
