BARRY Athletic First XI suffered a heavy defeat away to Cardiff Gymkhana last weekend, losing by 171 runs.
Gymkhana amassed 286 all-out, despite Andy Ellis finishing with figures of 4-18 and a further two wickets from Billy Usswald, who took 2-42, with Tariq hitting 144 for the hosts.
Barry in reply could only manage 125 all-out, with Shae Ellis' 49 and Simon Phillips with 18 not-out being the main contributors.
Barry Athletic Second XI entertained Cardiff Gymkhana Second XI on the Island, and after winning the toss put the hosts in to bat.
Gymkhana scored 241 all-out, with Durani making 57, while Kapil Rokad took 4-51 and Ashley Baker 2-31 for Athletic.
In reply, Barry were bowled out for 173 with just two balls remaining. Ashley Baker top-scored with 62, while Kapil Rokad contributed with 36, but it was not enough to prevent another defeat for Athletic.
On Saturday Barry Athletic First XI entertain Radyr on The Island, while the Second XI travel to Radyr.
Both games start at 12.30pm.
