Howard Craven had to endure a similar finish in a game which they had controlled in the early stages.

For the third occasion, the visitors took a 6-1 advantage in skip Gordon Davies' rink against Steve Booker, but the lead was slowly cut until the thirteenth end when a ‘six’ gave Llantwit the lead for the first time. The remaining four ends brought two singles to each side.

The final rink was played with one player short, against Graham Jones.
