Barry Youth 60 - Dinas Powys Youth 7

AFTER a few week's without a fixture Barry Youth welcomed Dinas Powys who were an unknown quantity as it's their first season in the youth league.

From the kick-off Barry showed dominance and were able to take the game by the scruff of the neck.

The Barry pack worked tirelessly which gave the backline the platform they needed to finally show what they were capable of. Apart from one lapse in concentration which allowed for Dinas Powys to score from a quick penalty Barry dominated the half and were a comfortable 36 - 7 up at half-time.

Barry were able to make a few changes at half-time, however this did not effect the game. Barry continued in their dominance and played some scintillating rugby on times in the forwards and the backs.

With the final whistle not to far away Barry managed to score the points which gave them an early win by a 50 point margin.

Barry Youth would like to welcome Jake Sanders and Chandler Graves who both made their debuts during this game for the club.

Credit must go to the Dinas Powys Youth side who competed up until the last. They were a credit to their coaches and club.
