SP Billy 3 - Cadoxton Athletic 1
SP BILLY welcomed Cadoxton Athletic to Pencoedtre on Saturday, September 17, with both sides being sponsored by the King William.
SP Billy starting off the quickest with Ody Nicolau and Franky Bunn both hitting the woodwork. Cadoxton had a few chances but the stalwarts at the back for SP Billy kept a clean sheet up until half-time.
With SP playing uphill, Cadoxton seemed to up their game causing a few problems at the back but then Franky bagged a shot in the bottom corner to get the lead which lasted all of five minutes when Scott Larsen gave a silly penalty away which they put away to make it 1-1.
Then Franky had a penalty of his own which he scored but was ordered to retake it and this time it was saved. This seemed to spur SP on with a couple of substitutions coming on including Joel Ben and Andy.
SP's Franky scored another and then an own goal gave the team all three points in an entertaining game.
The team wish to thank Dave and Jo at the King William for the post-match food.
