SULLY Bowling Club's first fixture of the week on Wednesday, August 3, had to be abandoned due to the heavy rain.

The team travelled to Cadoxton for their midweek match but were only able to play 16 ends before it was eventually called off. After drying off in the clubhouse it was revealed that Sully were only one shot down but nothing was at stake for either club.

The final result was 54-53 to Cadoxton but Sully did have two rinks up.

On Saturday, Sully travelled to Ynysybwll for a return fixture. Sully had already beaten the team at home in the previous week.

Sully were wrong to get their hopes up as right from the off all rinks struggled in what was a very good spirited match.

Sully could not repeat the home performance and were well beaten on three rinks, losing on the other in a last end shootout.

Final score saw Ynysybwll win by 100 shots to 54.
