ON WEDNESDAY, June 22, Sully Bowls Club played a home match against a strong Barry Romilly side in the Munro Cup competition.

The Romilly rinks took the lead from the start of the match and continued the pressure throughout the game and came away eventual winners by 90 shots to 52 shots.

On Saturday, Sully travelled to Mountain Ash who were two points in front of them in the CML Division 2. Sully were hoping to gain some points to move them away from the bottom of the table but in the end Sully only managed three points with a win for Brian Griffith's rink and a draw for Dave Curtis' rink. The final score was Mountain Ash 65, Sully 49.

The only win of the week was in the Alan Martin Cup where two rinks from Sully took on two rinks from neighbours Sully Sports in an entertaining match in wet conditions. Sully eventually came away winners with 44 shots to 26 shots.

Congratulations to Brian Griffiths and Dave Curtis who have battled away and reached the final of the South Vale Senior Singles Competition.

This Wednesday, June 29, Sully are away to Llantwit Major in the Munro Cup and home on Saturday to Penyrheol in the CML. Sully practise on Monday evenings from 5.30pm and would welcome bowlers from novice to experienced to their green at Jubilee Hall, Sully.
