SULLY Bowling Club's rollercoaster of a season continues to roll, with no Saturday fixtures for two weeks, it was down to the Munro Cup side to get things back on track.

Last week with the side away to Murch it was a more than creditable performance to come away with a win. With two up and two down it was in the hands of Dave Curtis, who although down overall, was last on the green to ensure a great one shot win.

S Dibble, J Bryan, A Thomas, D Curtis 8-14

E Pryer, D Davies, D Hotchkiss, D Edwards 13-24

B Curtis, D Curtain, H Thomas, I Paterson 16-12

A Smith, G Nedley, A Rees M Hardy 22-8.

Final score 58-59

On Wednesday, May 25, the side were at home to rivals Sully Sports who had won well in a season opening friendly on their green, so with a couple of late changes expectations were low.

On what was a lovely night by the seaside with no breeze the home side turned in a great performance winning on all rinks.

A Rees, G Nedley, T Murphy, J Best 19-7

E Pryer, K Mahoney, A Smith, B Griffiths 15-10

S Norris, H Thomas, A Thomas, D Curtis 21-14

B Curtis, C Michael, H Levic-Jones, D Hotchkiss 23-8

Final score 78-39

Between Steve and his pie eating and Hugh with his name spelling, all players should be aware by now of the saying the pen is mightier than the bowl. The writer serves notice he is always watching for material for the column.
