Barry Belgrade 0 v 3 Tynewydd FC

GOING into the game looking to do the league double over Belgrade, Tynewydd FC started the game on the front foot creating some good goal scoring opportunities from a series of corners.

But it was from a well worked passing move midway through the first half that Skinny cut across the ball 25 yards out and whipped the ball into the top corner to give Tynewydd FC the lead and it remained 1-0 until the end of the half.

Early into the second half Tynewydd FC doubled their lead after some high pressure on the Belgrade back line resulted in a misplaced pass finding Julian Brana on the edge of the box whose half volley found the bottom corner.

Tynewydd killed the game off on the 65th minute when a long diagonal free kick from Nick Haincock found Andrew Colburn, who leaping like a salmon, rose highest at the back post and powered his header in to the net.

At 3-0 Tynewydd saw the remainder of the game out with their solid back five once again restricting Belgrade to only a handful of long shots.

Man of the Match went to Skinny for the second game on the bounce for a composed game in the centre of the park and his well taken opening goal.

Tynewydd 8 v 0 Barry Villa

Tynewydd made easy work against rock bottom Barry Villa in a game that was totally overshadowed by worrying scenes after one of the young Villa players went off the field suffering with serious breathing difficulties.

Tynewydd coach Paul Union kept the player comfortable till the paramedics arrived on the scene. Reports are good that Josh is recovering well and all of Tynewydd FC wish him all the best.
