IN awful conditions, 73 sea anglers fished the Dow Corning/Seaview Lads charity open off Cold Knap and Porthkerry.

With rain and strong winds only 18 anglers caught fish.

In top spot was Chris Jenkins from Bridgend with 1.82kg, next was Mickey Langford from Barry with 1.56kg and third was Nigel Pudbrace of Cardiff with 1.43kg.

Between the anglers, Dow employees, friends and £450 from the quizzers from the Seashore Grill, Sully, a grand total of £3,200 was raised. The money will help towards building a special climbing apparatus in Ysgol Y Deri who teach and support children with varied disabilities. Thanks go to everybody who took part with their kind donations and support.
