THE television cameras return to Jenner Park on Saturday, December 5, as Barry Town United entertain Denbigh Town in the Third Round of the 2015-16 Welsh Cup and supporters are encouraged to cheer on the hosts in what will be their most important match of the season to date.

The fixture will be the second ever meeting between Barry and Denbigh sides; the last being a Welsh Amateur Cup semi-final tie back in 1924.

The North Wales outfit went on to win the tournament that year and this season has seen them achieve landmark success in another; disposing of three Welsh Premier League sides en route to the Word Cup Final date with champions The New Saints in January.

However, no competition in Wales can rival the history and prestige of the 129-year old Welsh Cup; with Saturday’s clash between north and south poised to be one of the definitive ties of an ever-competitive Third Round.

In each of the first two stages, Barry trailed their opponents, only to battle through to victory; winning 3-2 at Briton Ferry on October 3 and 7-2 against Aberdare Town at the end of the month.

Meanwhile, Denbigh won in Connah’s Quay in the opening round, before defeating Conwy 4-1 to secure their 350-mile round trip visit to Jenner Park.

Barry manager Gavin Chesterfield is hopeful of including prolific Welsh Cup marksman TJ Nagi in his squad this Saturday, while FAW Player of the Round James Dixon is set to feature up front, after his five-goal flurry lit up the second stage.

With fellow hometown lads such as Drew Fahiya, Ryan Evans, Lee Baldock, Paul Morgan and Lewis Cosslett all poised to be involved, a warm welcome awaits at Jenner Park for what should be a fine afternoon’s entertainment.

Kick-off is at 2.30pm, with £5 admission at the turnstiles and concessions available, while the Jenner Suite will also be open for refreshments throughout the afternoon's events.

The Barry vs Denbigh, which will be shown in highlight form over various S4C platforms, must be settled on the day; by way of extra-time and penalties, if required.
