PETER’S PIES and Cardiff City FC have joined forces to present Palmerston Primary School with sporting supplies.

The two organisations created a “Pot of Gold” which funds vital sports equipment and exceptional sports experiences to local schools and clubs.

Palmerston Primary School, Barry was one of the groups lucky enough to secure a chunk of the pot.

The school recently received a special delivery from Peter’s and Cardiff City FC containing an assortment of PE equipment including walkers, balls, and rounder posts.

PE co-ordinator at Palmerston Primary School, Becky Breed said: “We were delighted to be chosen to receive such a generous donation of fantastic sports equipment from the Pot of Gold scheme which all our children will benefit hugely from.

“The equipment, which is already proving enormously popular, will allow the school to promote further well-being and a healthy lifestyle through its PE lessons and extra-curricular activities.

“We would like to extend a great big Palmerston thank-you to everyone who made this possible.”

Commercial Director for Peter’s, James Osgood, said: “We’re thrilled to be working with the Cardiff City FC Community and Education Foundation again and to be in a position to share out the funds collated in our Pot of Gold.

“Palmerston Primary School encourages its students to get active and the curriculum reflects that. It’s a pleasure to help in some way in their mission to keep the youngsters fit in a fun way.”
