THE highly successful Cardiff City Premier League Kicks project is coming to Barry.

Partners across the Vale of Glamorgan are set to expand the project which is aimed at young people aged 14-19.

A local partnership project between Newydd, Barry Communities First, South Wales Police, Legacy Leisure, British Transport Police and Cardiff City Foundation have managed to successfully secure one year funding to support the go ahead of the project which will run every Thursday starting July 23 from 6–8pm at the Colcot AstroTurf, Barry with the hope of extending the project if successful.

In addition to football coaching and competitions, Cardiff City Premier League Kicks programme offers a range of other positive activities to develop young sport enthusiasts. Developmental and educational sessions are also run, dealing with issues such as healthy lifestyles and the dangers of getting involved in alcohol and drugs.
