MILLWOOD Bowling Club played hosts to Penarth Windsor in the seventh game of the Munro Cup, and came out winning by a margin of 15 shots, even playing two of the rinks a man down. A bit of a good result it must be said.

With the score at 20 – 20 in favour of Millwood after five ends, Penarth had to try their best to reduce the deficit, but after 10 ends had been played the Millwood lead had increased to 45 shots to 24.

As the game progressed, the next five ends saw no change in Millwood’s lead, still at 67 – 46.

In the final quarter of the game, Penarth Windsor managed to steal back some shots off the Millwood lead, but alas not enough to change the outcome of this encounter, which saw Millwood win by the 15 shot total.

Credit must go to the rink skipped by D Gorringe for a 20 shot gap, plus the fact that Millwood were a man short on two of the four rinks.

They now stand at played seven, won five and lost two.
