JANE Hutt AM met Ady Gratton from the Barry Athletic Club, who told her about his vision for a multi-functional community facility on Friday, April 10.
The club encompasses the cricket, football, bowls and tennis clubs plus a brass band and Jane Hutt viewed the pitches, grounds, courts and club houses.
Ady Gratton is organising a community consultation to gain interest and support for new community facilities to support the club’s activities and open up opportunities for visitors to Barry Island and the local community.
With the hope of getting Lottery funding and wide support for a social enterprise to back the proposal, Mr Gratton discussed his proposals and the wider vision which he is developing on behalf of the club.
Anyone wanting to find out about the proposal or can help contact Mr Gratton on a.grat@yahoo.co.uk.
