TONY James a postman from Barry caught a 5lb haddock in Porthkerry Bay from his own boat ‘Bluefin’ on March 10.
The fish which more than doubles the current Welsh boat record of 2lb 3oz caught off Swansea in 1996 is an extremely rare catch for the channel and is the first one Tony has caught or seen in 35 years fishing this area.
