BARRY Saints progress to the next round of the cup with victory over a good Builder's side on a very tricky pitch.
Saints took the lead through Darren Townsend and had Gareth Hegarty to thank in goal allowing them to go into half-time 1-0 up.
Saints added another goal through Townsend after a great cushioned header by Nathan Williams to set him up.
The Builders got on the score board after a short goal kick was pounced upon.
Saints made a few changes which worked in their favour and Michael Evans came on and turned provider for Nathan Williams after a perfect through ball over the defence left Williams to smash the ball home.
Williams then put Townsend through one-on-one for the Saints talisman to unselfishly lay the ball off for Michael Evans to tap into the empty net.
Ashley Ashill finished the scoring converting a one-on-one through the ‘keeper’s legs. Special thanks to Rebecca Skinner at RS Podiatry (01446 734064) for the match ball.
