BARRY Beavers travelled to the Rhondda on Sunday, October 19, with a team of 24 to compete against seven other Welsh clubs.

The club arrived home with16 medal – six gold, six bronze, four silver.

The gold medallists were girls 25metres Natasha Lynch, ladies 25 metres Shannon Rogers, girls 50 metres Courtney Rogers, girls 100 metres FFion Jones, ladies 100 metres Sarah Davies and senior relay: Philip Daly, John Evans, Heather Williams and James Jones.

Silver medallists were: ladies 25 metres Helen Lynch, ladies 50 metres Sophie Woodham, men’s 50 metres Robert Lynch, junior relay: Tyler Savory, Jesse Rodgers, Courtney Rogers and Layla Rogers.

Bronze medallists were: girls 25 metres Abigail Finch, boys 25 metres Jack Kemp, men’s 25 metres Philip Daly girls, 50 metres Talisha Rogers, boys 50 metres Jesse Rodgers, girls 100 metres Layla Rogers.

The other swimmers taking part were: Callum Savory Lucy Lynch Suzanne, Haslam Louis Davies, Richard Field and Matthew Lack who all improved their times.

Barry came 2nd overall with 67points, Rhondda 1st with 73 points.
