THE away leg of the Inter league game between the Barry Darts league and the Caldicot and Magor darts league took place on September 26.

A total of 23 people made the trip to Caldicot, with 14 players among them.

The evening started well with Terry Overton and Matt Stanger winning the opening games to give Barry a 2-0 lead. Caldicot then hit back by winning the next six games to lead 6-2 at the break. In the second half of the match Barry made a comeback, with wins from Jon Hurn, Nick Price, Terry Williams and Peter de Souza. This left Barry trailing 7-6 going into the final two games.

Jon Hurn's second win of the night wasn't enough as Caldicot won the match 8-7. This was a much improved performance on the 12-5 loss in the match played in Barry. The event was highly enjoyable and everyone involved is looking forward to the next match in Barry next year.

Thanks to all the players and supporters who made the trip and contributed to the event. Thank you to Dave Cutts and the Caldicot and Magor darts league for hosting the night.

Thank you also to Bob Usher for arranging the coach.
