THE Barry Town U12s donned the famous yellow and blue for the first time this Saturday and the youngsters did the colours proud with a terrific performance against visitors Cowbridge.

Starting powerfully and playing some attractive football on the floor, the Town gave themselves a commanding lead by the interval. With Joseff Rosser contributing a regular supply of fine crosses, Barry’s first-half goals were netted by Jake Westlake (3), Taylor Miller, Louis Harding, James O'Niel and Luke Parle.

Cowbridge, to their credit, came out fighting after the break and were duly rewarded with a goal of their own. However, the Town reacted well and continued to apply pressure on the visiting defence.

In the end, Barry were rewarded with further goals from Parle, Kenzie Ashton, Nathan Francis and James Evans. The Man of the Match honours meanwhile went to Rosser; with special mentions for Westlake, Harding and Cian Anderson, who each entered outstanding performances.
