IN A week that saw the Barry Town United Development Centre (in partnership with the Vale of Glamorgan Council) resume for the new season, Town youngsters were in action across various age levels this past weekend, scoring a hatful of goals along the way.

In a 5-5 thriller against Sully, strikes from Joseff Rosser, Kenzie Ashton, Luke Parle, Morgan Hawkins and Kiean Eveleigh (with the final kick of the match) secured an excellent point for the U12s, while the U14s were narrowly edged out by a decisive penalty in their 3-2 defeat to Barry Athletic.

On Monday evening, the U19s were at Jenner Park for the first time this season, beaten 4-2 by a strong Aberbargoed Buds side. The Town had trailed 2-0 at half-time, but came roaring back thanks to Curtis Rogers and an own goal. However, two late strikes settled the match in the Buds' favour, with Barry's next outing in Youth Division East to come this Sunday at Bridgend Street.

The seniors will be in action this weekend at Tata Steel and the club has also announced a race night fundraiser at the Wyndham Conservative Club on Saturday, October 4, from 7pm, with tickets available now at £3 each.
