SEVENTEEN dancers aged 9-16years from the Motion Control Dance, Barry travelled to Glasgow over the bank holiday weekend to represent Wales at the UDO World Street Dance Championships.

All dancers performed exceptionally well in their divisions against dancers from across the globe and we are very proud of all of their efforts.

Our under 10 team JuVenile were very successful in the first round to be placed straight into the final in which they achieved 4th place in the beginners section after having to re-perform their piece due to a technical fault. Jasmin Miller also performed very well on the day to be awarded 6th place in her under 10 solo.

Thank you to all the dancers and parents for all their support during this 3 day competition. A big thank you goes out to Olivia Shouler and Yazmin Harcourt for their wonderful choreography and hard work with both JuVenile and ERA in preparation for prestigious event.

Motion Control Dance will be enrolling for the new term on Saturday, September 6 at Barry YMCA from 10am-noon and new students will be welcome to have 'A Chance 2 Dance'.
