SAINTS steam rolled past Blackweir Ravens without breaking too much of a sweat with a dominant performance. Saints took the lead when centre half Rhys Hocking powered home a header from a corner. David Evans then stepped up to score from the penalty spot to make it 2-0. Nathan Williams then added to the scoreline bursting past the defence and hitting a low shot into the corner. Half time and Saints were cruising. Second half started like the first half had ended. Darren Townsend added his name to the list of scorers with a low accurate finish. Williams grabbed his second with a trademark run and low finish. James Rouse finished a great team goal with a side footed shot from the edge of the area. Blackweir managed to score after some sloppy defending and a lot of luck when a wayward shot found an unmarked player at the back post for a tap in. Michael Evans swung the momentum back in favour of the Saints with a simple tap in after some unselfish play by Townsend. David Evans grabbed another after slotting the ball effortlessly in to the bottom corner with the keeper rooted to the spot. Blackweir grabbed another goal with the game all but over. The last laugh was with the Saints and Nathan Williams in particular. Justifying his man of the match performance with another two goals to make the scoreline 10-2.
