AFTER a week of inactivity Rhoose Bowls Club Men's team travelled to Ystrad Mynach for their C.D.M.L. Division 4 Match. Although 3 rinks lost by the slim margin overall the side won by 8 shots. This was because Ron Ball's rink had won by 13 shots. Halfway through the match the other three rinks had been well behind but they caught up in dramatic fashion. Les Parsons Jnr. rink was unlucky to lose by 1 shot after their third trailed the jack to the opposition on the last end giving them the vital shot. With two home matches to play the team is looking forward with confidence to a high placing in the League.

The Ladies team travelled to B.P. Sully for their double rink match on Tuesday. Faced with a green with very little grass on it Rhoose took a while to gauge the weight. Sue Dance's team were unlucky to lose a close game by just 3 shots as on the 14th end the score was 20 shots to 10 in favour of B.P.The other rink found difficulty securing any shots and were trounced 34 shots to 9.
