THIRTY-NINE golfers faced exhausting conditions when Brynhill Golf Club lady vice-captain Glynis Gould hosted a competition on July 22.
With wall to wall sunshine, all the golfers did well to complete the course, and the competition ended in a family double for mother Shirley O'Donovan (Bronze Division, 37 points) and daughter Helen Cook (Silver Division, 38 points). Runners-up were Linda Hewlett (Silver, 37) and Carole Allen (Bronze, 37).

Vets Silver Salver - Ann Phillips (38pts); runner up, Chris Hopkins (35).
Texas Scramble - Lynda Lloyd, Shirley O'Donovan, Gemma Evans and Helen Cook (59.5 nett); runners up, Shirley Lewis, Jo Hopkins, Nicci Case and Di Tapscott.
