TENNIS fever has struck the Vale following the launch of Family Fun Fridays at Barry Tennis Club recently.

New players have taken to the courts to enjoy fun tennis-themed games and activities, while parents and other family-members enjoy refreshments and socialising in the clubhouse.

Children aged five to nine take part in court-based activities from 4.30pm to 6pm, while older children get on court from 6pm when the food and drinks start being served in the clubhouse.

All are welcome to try their first session free and then pay just £3 per session, unless they become a member, when the sessions continue to run free of charge.

The Wimbledon men's semi-finals of Wimbledon are likely to be screened on the club’s television, this Friday.

Barry Tennis Club caters for all ages and abilities, and whether you want to meet new people, get a bit more mobile, enjoy a sporting activity with your children, or get into one of our teams, the club has something for everyone.
