THE COUNTDOWN has begun to the deadline for applying for sporting fund tackling gaps in participation
Applications for the Sport Wales Calls4Action grant project close on Friday, June 20.
The project is a £3m investment into community sport across Wales.
£1.5million of the National Lottery funding available through the Calls4Action project will be invested into addressing the barriers currently preventing young women and girls from participating in sport.
And another £1.5million will look to tackle inequalities around areas of poverty, disability and BME communities.
Outline applications need to be submitted by June 20 to be considered.
If the outline proposal is viewed as having potential to significantly increase sport participation, the applicant will be asked to develop a more detailed case to receive funding.
