BARRY Comprehensive School’s Under 18 basketball team are celebrating after winning the Cardiff and Vale schools Championship this year.
The team of Nico Wilson (Captain), Joe Bennett, Scott Townsend, Matt Jones, Tyler Ellis, Josh Whelan, Lewis Costello, Harry Phillips, Joe Harding, Jordan Harding, Andrew Young and Tom Pitman beat Atlantic College 71 - 48 in the exciting final.
The Year 10 basketball team played successfully against a number of school teams to reach the Cardiff and Vale Schools final in the House of Sport, Cardiff.
They lost narrowly in the final to St Richard Gwyn.
The team recently benefitted from a very generous donation of a new basketball kit from Faye Ruckley of Ruckleys, Holton Road.
