LOCAL fighter Liam Rees has produced another fantastic performance to win the Welsh Kickboxing Union championship.
In Sunday's Welsh Rumble at the Warriors gym, Bridgend, fighters were matched at all levels in points, continuous and full contact fighting. The event was created by Master Jeff Copp.
Falling behind in the first round of his title fight, 16-year-old Liam responded by gaining points through the full use of his kickboxing skills, including two leg sweeps which gained him two points each. By the end of the second round, Liam was a few points ahead of his opponent and, in the third and final round, displayed his outstanding talents and emphasised his superiority to ease to a great win and the title belt.
