FIRST-half strikes from James Dixon and Jordan Cotterill and a second-half penalty save from Dan Bradley helped Barry Town United to a 2-0 win over Rhoose on Tuesday evening.

This result steered Gavin Chesterfield's team to within one point of league leaders Llawern with one game to play, with the Gwent side having already completed their fixture programme.

Victory for the Town tonight (Thursday) at Newport Civil Service would secure the Welsh League Division Three championship.

A draw in this evening's final match would meanwhile be enough to clinch the title on goal difference.

Travelling supporters are advised that kick-off is at 6.30pm, with the ground located at Shannon Close, Bettws, Newport, NP20 7LX.
