LADY members of Barry's Brynhill Golf Club got together earlier this month to arrange matches for the 2014 season.
In addition, a valuable insight into the rules of the game was provided by Sheila Williams. The talk was then the subject of a quiz won by Anne Phillips and Shirley O'Donovan.
Many members will need to refer to their rule books again!
On February 18, 40 members enjoyed lunch together. This was preceded by some brave souls playing ten holes and, although the weather stayed kind, there were wet underfoot conditions which proved no problem for Shirley Lewis who won with 21 points.
In support of Velindre Hospital, Julie Harkin had raised money during her year as captain, and Pat Cogbill has been collecting used stamps.
Other recent competition winners: January 14 - Audrey Phillips (20pts) and February 1- Linda Hewlett (24pts).
