Saturated football pitch halts play

First published in Sport

A WATERLOGGED pitch led to the postponement of Sully Sports’ scheduled South Wales Senior Soccer League clash at local rivals Cogan Coronation on Saturday.

The team will be hoping for better weather for their visit to Cwmbach (Aberdare) this coming Saturday; players to meet at Lidl at noon.

The club’s Vale League First Division side are at Swanbridge, where they will play ‘lodgers’ Pumas; meet at club at 12.45pm.

The Sully Sports Ladies’ game against Swansea City was also a victim of the weather and this weekend the Sully side travel to Newport County for a 2pm kick-off.
