FOLLOWING a great deal of local public support, the Dinas Powys Wolves Football Club has been boosted by a grant from the Lloyds Bank Community Fund.

Expressing his appreciation to everyone who had voted, a spokesman for the Vale of Glamorgan Junior League club said the money would go towards the cost of training venues for the players over the winter months.

With the bad weather hitting scheduled fixtures over the past six weeks, the players have been using The House of Sport and Gol in Cardiff to keep their Saturday mornings full of football.

The club is still looking to attract sponsorship from local companies and the spokesman added: "Sponsorship can be as little or as much as you want. We can offer a lot in return, including advertising on the club website and in a Welsh League match day programme and name on shirts. Please telephone 07528 230362 for more information."
