THE Vale of Glamorgan Soccer League is championing a national scheme aiming to provide quality assured playing structures and ensure young players experience a safe and enjoyable environment when taking part in football.
In the FAW Club Accreditation Scheme, there are four “accreditation” awards - standard, bronze, silver and gold - and the Vale League now has more than 80 per cent of its junior clubs accredited, with a total of 21 clubs achieving at least the minimum standard award level for the current season. The league also boasts two silver clubs and one bronze.
Vale mini football co-ordinator Lee Saunders said: "The Vale of Glamorgan League has focused its attention on FAW Club Accreditation this season and all clubs have bought into the process of raising the standards of football locally, with our mini football section achieving 100 per cent success."
