TWENTY-three students from as young as five years of age took part in the third colour belt grading of the year for the Cadoxton Schools of Taekwondo.

In charge of proceedings at the Victoria Park Community Centre was Ron Thomas, 8th Dan, assisted by Matthew Bennett and Anita Sheppard, both 2nd degree black belts.

The exam, which was a success for all the students, consisted of traditional forms, set and free sparring, power tests, theory and general questions.

Successful candidates were promoted to the following: 9th kup orange belt, Leo Cummins; 8th kup yellow belt, Fae Hillberg, Ethan Andrus, Thea Cunningham, Cameron Evans, Camron Hales and Alexandra Poulton (double grade); 7th kup green stripe, Kelly Quigley, Lucia Cunningham and Alaxis Cunningham; 6th kup green belt, Katie Watkins (double grade), Ellie-Ann Osborne, Martin James, Kurtis James and Jessica Blackley; 5th kup blue stripe, Mason Blackley; 4th kup blue belt, Joel Wells; 3rd kup red stripe, Cian Allen, Demi Baker, Daniel Quigley, Jake Quigley and Cody Jacobsen; 2nd kup red belt, Chelsea-Leigh Hocking.
