Davies judges sporting talent

BARRY Olympian David Davies will help select the best of elite and grassroots sport for 2013 as part of the new Wales Sport Awards judging panel.
Distance swimmer David will be joined by Sport Wales chair Professor Laura McAllister, Head of Sport for BBC Cymru Wales Geoff Williams and renowned sport journalist Carolyn Hitt.
Bev Smith, a director at sports coach UK, Jon Morgan, executive director of Disability Sport Wales (DSW) and young ambassador Beth Nesham complete the panel.
BBC Cymru Wales and Sport Wales recently launched the Wales Sport Awards as a new event to showcase the very best of elite and grassroots sport in Wales.
The event at the Sport Wales National Centre in Cardiff will be held on Monday, December 9.
The BBC Cymru Wales Sports Personality of the Year and Coach of the Year are among the prizes forming part of the Wales Sport Awards.
The BBC Cymru Wales Sports Personality of the Year prize will continue to be decided by a public vote from up to ten finalists chosen by a panel of sport experts.
