RHOOSE U15s 3
TAKING an early lead when Josh Morgan latched on to a through ball by Jay Coles and rounded the oncoming 'keeper, Rhoose were well worth the win.
Josh Brown and Dylan White were solid in the heart of the Rhoose defence and Edward Thomas worked the flanks well with Harry Morgan-Grant. Rhoose went two up when a long range effort by Joshua Caveill was deflected home by Matt Cottington.
The positioning of Rhoose 'keeper Michael Wilson was excellent and he thwarted a number of Sully attacks.
Lee Bartlett was unlucky not to score when he was found in space by Declan Jenkins, but his first-time effort went just wide.
In the second half, Rhoose used the speed of Daniel Cope on the wing and it was his cross that was brilliantly controlled by Morgan who calmly found the top corner.
Always looking a threat and playing some good football, Sully were rewarded with a well taken effort. Sully’s confidence grew, but Tom Hubbard and Patrick O’Carroll made some great tackles to keep Rhoose in the ascendancy.
Joe Hopkins and Daniel Ahearn both had good efforts on goal late in the game.
