Penarth runners enjoy personal best times in Swansea Bay 10k

PENARTH and Dinas Runners enjoyed another weekend of personal best times as they took part in the Admiral Swansea Bay 10k race.
Along with the popular 10k race, which more than 4,000 people took part in, there was also a series of other races including junior 1k, 3k and 5k races, and a mascot race.
The race also served as part of the club championship for Penarth and Dinas Runners, with club members desperate to score points.
Ian Warburton was the first Penarth runner to cross the finish line with a personal best (PB) of 41.32.
Debbie Evans was the first woman from Penarth to finish as she achieved a PB of 42.08.
Malcolm Bradley was next with a season best of 42.39.
Lisa Cleary, who is set to run the Loch Ness Marathon this weekend, achieved a PB by four seconds to finish in 42.50.
Andrea Hurman achieved a season best with 45.05.
Paul Furlong, who ran his 50th 5k parkrun the day before, achieved a season best in 46.52.
Lyn Evans, returning from injury, finished in 53.46
The club would like to wish the best of luck to everyone taking part in the Loch Ness Marathon this weekend.
Penarth and Dinas Runners meet every Monday evening at Penarth Leisure Centre at 7pm.
