2:00pm Friday 22nd February 2013 in Sport
AMBASSADOR: England international and Arsenal and Everton legend Kevin Campbell
PASS2PRO and PG10 Coaching have joined forces to offer a new online development platform for children and young people in the Vale of Glamorgan and for players who are aspiring to be professional footballers from around Wales and across the world.
Players can create their very own Player “Passport”
in order for them to have the opportunity to improve, develop and hopefully get recognised by professional clubs as well as get professional tips, advice on training techniques (individual/sectioned and team), fitness programmes, nutritional guidance, a unique professional mentoring programme, sport psychology and football analysis.
This unique opportunity is backed by former England international and Arsenal and Everton legend Kevin Campbell and by a host of other former professional footballers such as Trevor Sinclair, Peter Reid, Neville Southall, Shola Ameobi, Kevin Gall and John Hartson, Former England international Kevin Campbell and Pass2Pro ambassador said: “As the Ambassador of Pro Academy Soccer Scout, Pass2pro and British Asian Football I see and feel a total synergy with PG10 Coaching.
“We share a like-minded clear vision through football that aims to improve, develop, educate and mentor players of all ages.
“The Pass2pro platform will assist PG10 Coaching to grow into a world leader in professional mentored football development.
“Pass2pro are proud to have PG10 Coaching as a joint venture partner! We truly look forward to making a positive difference especially at grassroots level and to a very successful future.”
Players will also receive mentoring and have their questions answered from current and ex-professional players, managers and coaches while also having direct contact with professional scouts and college recruiters.
Elite players will be able to access trials at the biggest professional clubs across the UK but also globally in countries such as Spain, Germany, Holland Italy and the USA.
To create a Player Passport the user will upload their club info, player history, attributes, statistics, images and unlimited videos.
There is no criteria for any player as it applies to anyone in any country, male or female, from grassroots to professional.
Whether players play for local teams or academies the centre aims to cater for all.
Kevin Gall, founder of Pass2pro, said: “Being Welsh, it’s great to see PG10 progressing Welsh football which I feel very passionate about.
“I was very lucky to get the chance to be seen by professional clubs when I was playing for Wales U15s in the Victory Shield.
“Being able to improve and develop players from grassroots is vital for the future of Welsh football because there are a lot of very talented players that can go unnoticed.
Pass2pro looks forward to working with PG10 and progressing players from Wales and internationally who aspire to get into the professional game.”
Members of Pass2Pro will not be all of the same standard which is why there is an elite section that the professional clubs can access.
Every player improves and develops using our professional process whether they are elite or not.
Peter Griffiths, of PG10 Coaching, said: “This exciting new opportunity will enable so many children and young people to develop and learn new football skills but it will also assist professional clubs help recruit talent in Wales but also across the world which may have been un-noticed.
“This unique online platform will ensure all children can develop and removes all barriers in being identified by a professional football club.
“A platform like this enables players of all abilities to develop all aspects of their football development and support them in achieving their aims and dreams!”
