I WOULD like to thank Dr Jonathan Hicks for the excellent exhibition ‘Barry and the Second World War’ held at the library.
After looking at all the photographs with their very sad/inspiring stories, surely this is proof that the town should have a museum.
We have a very important industrial, seafaring and wartime history.
A photograph of my father, who was in the RAF, was on display in the exhibition. He was reported missing in Crete in May 1941, a few months after I was born. It would be wonderful to know his history and those of the other fallen heroes of the town could be on permanent display in a much-needed museum.
