THE World Jamboree recently held in Essex reminds us all of the underlying strength of the Scout Movement in its Centenary Year.
A strength based on the concept that a Scout is a friend of every other Scout - no matter what country, class or creed the other may belong to - and also to the promise 'to do one's best and to help other people at all times'.
We should all be grateful to the young people and their hard-working leaders for the worldwide comradeship inspired by their actions.
