THE trees on Port Road East were planted to remember the soldiers who died in various conflicts, much was made about the planting, asking for volunteers to them etc, now these young trees are surrounded by weeds higher than them.

When the council sends gardeners up there to cut the grass they just drive up and down going nowhere near them.

Would it be too much work to take a strimmer and cut around them so they could grow or are they forgotten.
